A FTSE 250 Professional Services Company commissioned us to attract and select high-calibre graduates for their ‘Lead the Way’ graduate programme. We were tasked with creating an approach that could be developed in a short period of time and outside of the usual graduate annual recruitment cycle, but wouldn’t sacrifice the quality of candidates or exceed the client’s limited attraction budget.
We worked closely with our client to create a ‘Lead the Way’ graduate brand with an exciting leadership proposition. Our versatile candidate attraction strategy used direction promotion, university campus events and career services, and a wide range of media and digital channels to cover a range of diversity strands and keep costs low. During selection and assessment the candidates we had engaged were tested and then selected based on their overall performance. By measuring the key desirable behavioural competencies and creating a business simulation to test them, we obtained a highly accurate view of how they would react to a real-time business scenario.
We successfully developed a three-year leadership and management graduate programme that helped our client fill their 28 vacancies with the highest-calibre candidates.
